Sound samples

Here you can listen to a few selections in mp3 format of live recordings. To play these samples you need a mp3-player; a good one is WinAmp (it's freeware) or you can select another one at The Sonic Spot.

A note about the quality of these samples

The files are all mono, with a frequency response of 22 kHz. The music was sampled at 32 kbps, which is a rather low bitrate needed to get acceptable download times over the internet. So, don't expect CD quality. To experience the full spectrum of Thomas Quasthoff's voice I can only suggest that you buy a recording, or - even better - attend a live performance.
