| I would like to congratulate Mr Quasthoff on his wonderful
accomplishments and tell him how much joy he has brought to millions of listeners. Recently, in interviewing apprentices at the Santa Fe Opera, I ran into a young soprano who has a mild cerebral palsy, and is hoping to make a career. Her hero? Thomas Quasthoff. She now realizes that a physically challenged person can sing. Maybe she will sing concerts rather than opera, but the path is open for her if she has the talent. THANK YOU! Maria Nockin |
Congratulations ! May you ever prosper. When are you going to
do Kullervo ? You'd be perfect ! Anne |

So that will bring you nearly to Christmas... Washington, DC is eagerly awaiting your return to our fair city on March 7th. I'm especially looking forward to the Liszt Petrarch Sonnets which I found so moving when you sang them in Eugene in 1998. It will be good to hear Justus again as well.
